If an announcement didn't happen
This is the failure worth reporting, and it is almost always Android rather than the app. Two settings decide it:
- Alarms & reminders — Android Settings → Apps → ADHDTime → Alarms & reminders must be allowed.
- Battery optimisation — set ADHDTime to Unrestricted. Some phones (Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Huawei) put apps to sleep aggressively and will delay a timer that is otherwise correct.
If you can't hear it over music
Announcements duck other audio rather than stopping it, so they play over a track at reduced volume. If the track is loud enough to bury the voice, raise the media volume — the announcement rides the same channel.
What to include in an email
- Your phone model and Android version.
- Which profile you were running — getting ready, or time box — and the interval.
- What you expected to hear, and what happened instead.
- Whether the screen was off and whether other audio was playing.
Requests and ideas
Both are welcome at the same address. The app is deliberately small — two screens and a voice — so the honest answer to some requests is no, but it will be an answer rather than silence.
Accessibility
The app exists because looking at a screen is not always possible. If something about it — the app or this site — is hard to use with a screen reader, at a larger font size, or with limited hearing, that is a bug worth an email, and it goes to the front of the queue.
Privacy
Nothing you send is added to a mailing list or stored anywhere but that inbox. The app itself collects nothing at all — see the privacy policy.
